Apprenticeships

At Go Active we work with 2nd Chance on our apprenticeship schemes.

Apprenticeships are a great way for young people to gain practical skills in the workplace and earn while they learn. As sport specialists, 2nd Chance offer Apprenticeships at level 2 and level 3, working in partnership with a wide range of sport and activity organisations across the south west, to provide an enhanced apprenticeship experience that no other training provider offers.

2nd Chance have a network of employers across the South West who offer apprenticeships, most take 12 months to complete. Demand for apprenticeships are high and become available at different times of the year, but we are always committed to supporting young people who are passionate and enthusiastic wherever possible.

Many of our young people progress from our Coach Makers Programme directly into an apprenticeship. This is the most successful route in to an apprenticeship.

The apprenticeship frameworks we offer are:

  • Intermediate apprenticeships in activity leadership, Level 2. We offer two pathways, Exercise & Fitness or Leadership.
  • Advanced apprenticeships in Supporting Teaching & Learning in physical education & school sport, Level 3.
