GO ACTIVE TERMS & CONDITIONS
The rather boring but very important page all about our terms and conditions
Go Active Group accepts bookings for its courses in writing, using the booking forms provided by ourselves or the school, nursery, play group, club or organisation at which we are running an activity. Once the booking form has been completed and returned, payment in full received and the booking validated by Go Active Group, you will be sent booking confirmation via the email address that you have provided. Bookings are accepted on a first come first served basis and may be subject to minimum and maximum numbers.
Receiving email acknowledgement of your booking and payment is confirmation that your child has a place on the specified Go Active course or activity.
For safety reasons, all booking forms must be completed in full and returned to Go Active in advanced of the course/activity commencing. Where forms have not been correctly completed, Go Active Group will not be held liable for
Before booking please ensure your child is able to attend the activity on the dates specified on the booking form and is physically capable and suited to the demands of the course/activity for which they have been booked to attend. Go Active will not be liable for a child’s inability to complete a course/activity if they are not physically capable and suited to the demands of the course/activity.
Cancellation And Refund Policy
All bookings are subject to the right to cancel in writing (by e-mail to us) within seven (7) calendar days from the form return dates stated on the booking form pursuant to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
Outside of this seven (7) day period all bookings confirmed by us are final and non-refundable unless Go Active Group cancels a course or activity.
Go Active Group reserves the right to temporarily or permanently exclude participants who are disruptive or continuously disruptive when attending any Go Active course or activity. No refund will be paid in the event of such an exclusion taking place.
Go Active Group will not issue refunds on the basis of participants not being able to grasp or develop the specific skills taught on any of our courses/activities, nor will we issue refunds to participants who no longer wish to attend a course/activity for any reason.
Go Active Group will at its discretion try to accommodate any request to change a date or venue of a course/activity, but please note any change will be subject to an administrative fee.
Film And Photography
Go Active Group may from time to time take photographs/film of Go Active camps, clubs and activities. The use of this data is solely for the purpose of promoting and publicising Go Active events through Go Active literature, website, press and TV.
Parents/guardians that do not wish for their child to be photographed/filmed must make Go Active aware of this at the time of booking or in writing before the activity starts (where possible Go Active will inform parents/guardians at the start of a camp).
Go Active cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any personal belongings whilst attending a Go Active event. Please ensure that no valuable items are taken to any Go Active event venue by your children.
Health And Safety, Protective Equipment
A full risk assessment will be carried out before any activity takes place at a new venue. Go Active coaches hold a current emergency aid certificate issued by an appropriate body.
For safety reasons it is compulsory for all attendees to wear protective safety equipment when instructed to do by a Go Active coach. Go Active will not be liable for injuries or accidents caused by participants failing to follow clear instructions to wear appropriate protective equipment. Go Active reserves the right to refuse permission to participate for any child not wearing appropriate protective equipment.
It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure appropriate clothing is worn and/or available for their child for the activity provided and weather conditions.
Any medical conditions that participant may have must be fully disclosed (1) at the time of booking in writing to Go Active and (2) at registration to the lead coach on the course/activity or at the venue.
Go Active Group has Public Liability insurance with cover provided by Hiscox.
Other than in relation to death, personal injury, or property damage, where Go Active Group or its staff is proven to be negligent, Go Active’s liability to you is limited to the booking fee paid by you.
In the event that Go Active has to cancel an event for any reason, a full refund will be issued to the person who booked, no written request is required.
In the event of inclement weather, Go Active will seek to utilise suitable indoor accommodation provided by the school, nursery, play group, club or organisation. Go Active will organise suitable indoor activities to replace the outdoor activities at the discretion of Go Active staff.
In the unlikely event that you or your child are dissatisfied with the service we provide then please in the first instance raise it with the Go Active senior coach at the event. He/she will deal will the problem in accordance with our policies and procedures. If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction then please write to our customer services team at firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days of child’s attendance on the course. We take your views and complaints very seriously and will endeavour to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible.
In accordance with our Refunds Policy, refunds will only be issued if Go Active Group is proven to be in breach of our terms & conditions.
The information on this site is updated regularly. However, we hereby exclude any warranties (whether expressed or implied) as to the quality, accuracy, efficacy, completeness, performance, and fitness for a particular purpose of the site.
1. Company & Website Information
www.go-active.org is a site operated by Active Start Ltd (trading name of Go Active), a private limited company incorporated under the Companies Act 2006. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 8601937 and have our registered office at Hartham Park, Corsham, Wiltshire, SN13 0RP.
2. Website Access
Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on our site without notice (see below). We will not be liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of our site, or our entire site, to users who have registered with us.
